I washed the airfilter with soap and water. Am I supposed to work a bit of oil through it before I put it back

This is an airfilter to a power mower. My dad suggested working a little 30 wt through it but said check the manual. Of couse the manual doesn't tell you how to clean an airfilter.I washed the airfilter with soap and water. Am I supposed to work a bit of oil through it before I put it back
